Here's some stuff for History buffs:
HISTORY TODAY: In 1931, capital of India shifted from Old Delhi to New Delhi, formal inauguration of New Delhi City took place.
New Delhi was built between 1912 and 1929 on a site adjacent to Delhi (or Old Delhi), which had been chosen to replace Calcutta as the capital of British India in 1911; New Delhi was thus inaugurated as the new capital in 1931.
>>Designed by architects Sir Edwin Lutyens and Herbert Baker, New Delhi has broad, symmetrically aligned streets ...
(I've been wondrin.. how cum ND happen to have better

roads! .. Now i know the reason ;)
